Sometimes there is nothing quite like curling up on the couch in your own private reading nook and immersing yourself in a captivating novel. And right now there are even more incentives to do just that thanks to Amazon’s current e-book deal.

As one of Amazon’s early Prime Day 2020 deals, you’ll get $ 5 ebook credit when you spend $ 20 on ebooks Monday October 12th. This is how it works: To enjoy the offer you must first activate it on the offer page. Then simply select $ 20 worth of ebook titles, complete your transaction, and voila! Your $ 5 ebook balance will be added to your Prime account (sign up for a 30-day free trial here and then pay $ 12.99 per month).
Whether you’re into mystery or thriller, cookbooks, romance novels, or the hottest new autobiography, the Amazon Kindle e-book store has a plethora of options in every genre, from art and comics to education, health and fitness, History, humor, literature, science fiction, sports, self help, travel, young adult and more.
$ 5 might not sound like a lot, but it actually equates to a full free book – or two! – as you can buy titles for as little as $ 0.99 apiece, with most ranging from $ 6-10. On the other hand, if you had your eye on one of the more expensive bestsellers, this offer offers a generous discount on your subtotal.

Do you need something to read your new purchase? While nothing can reproduce the feeling of turning the crisp pages of a real book, some of the best e-readers out there come pretty damn close, and there also happen to be some great options on sale ahead of Prime Day. This Kindle Essentials bundle, valued at $ 134.97, has been reduced to $ 89.97 for Prime members. That gives you the 10th Generation Kindle ($ 89.97), an adapter, and your choice of Kindle cover so you can open and close it – just like a real book.
When we tested e-readers, we found that the Kindle is a powerful model in all lighting conditions thanks to its built-in front lighting. However, we’ve found that other models like our favorite e-reader – the Kindle Paperwhite ($ 149.95) – have even brighter light, which ultimately reduces our eye strain.
Whichever you choose, you will be familiar with features that you cannot get with paperbacks. For example, on some models you can call up dictionary definitions of words, take notes, and highlight passages. You can also save thousands of e-books on the model of your choice.
Note that even without Kindle, you can read e-books on other mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers, through the Kindle app.
So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and get this deal to be browsing the latest page turner within minutes of clicking “Add to Cart”.
