‘111 Locations In Atlanta That You Should Not Miss’ Guidebook Highlights The Metropolis’s Treasures
Travel has changed drastically due to the pandemic. Travis Swann Taylor created a book called “111 places in Atlanta you can’t miss“To help residents and non-residents to see the treasures the city has to offer. He came to Lois Reitzes, the presenter of “City Lights” via Zoom, to talk about this new travel guide.
Taylor is also the creator of the tourism blog “Wanderlust ATLANTA. ”
“I lived in Atlanta for fifteen years. Moved to DC for nine. And now I’ve been back ten years. When I got back I started blogging to get familiar with the city again and it was so fun that I still do it, ”said Taylor.
Some of the places he writes about in the book are from his blog, but he also added lots of new Atlanta gems.
“We are an interesting, rich community. We’re not just Coca-Cola or the aquarium or other major tourist destinations. It’s amazing, but the city has so much more to offer, ”said Taylor. “There are interesting stories, fascinating stories, people you would never have known were separated from Atlanta’s history. We are a very complex, international city with many amazing stories. “
In the book, Taylor writes about Atlanta restaurants, unique shops, attractions, great photo locations, and more. He wanted to make sure there was a combination of popular and lesser-known places.
He’ll be giving a virtual book lecture with that Dekalb history center on November 24th at 12 noon.
