Amtrak requiring reservations over Thanksgiving

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Amtrak requires reservations for train tickets during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Amtrak says the reservations will help cope with the anticipated surge in travelers and ensure travelers keep physical distance.

Seats on Pacific Surfliner trains may be sold out. Passengers should therefore plan in advance and book well in advance.

Reservations are required from Monday, November 23rd to November 30th.

Amtrak Monthly and 10-Day Tickets can still be used, but multi-ticket holders must confirm each trip.

If possible, additional wagons will be added to support the likely influx of passengers.
