Deals Designed to Lure Travelers Off Their Couches
The resorts there unfold the welcome mat in the form of deals. Until April, Katikies, with seven boutique hotels between the islands of Mykonos and Santorini, is offering a 20 percent discount and € 100 credit for food and drinks for a minimum of three nights in 2021, including a full refund in the event of a pandemic-related travel ban. Prediscount, prices in Katikies Garden Santorini start at 310 euros.
In Crete, guests staying five or more nights at the new Cretan Malia Park can book the History Package to receive breakfast and dinner daily, as well as a tour of the Knossos archaeological site, followed by lunch at a local tavern. Prices start at $ 250 per night.
Savings on the slopes
Annual ski pass offers usually start low and end higher when the ski resorts are open, giving skiers and drivers an incentive to think about snow in the summer. This year, Vail Resorts is up the pressure by cutting its Epic Passes by 20 percent and lowering tariffs back to the 2015-2016 season prices.
Currently, an Epic Pass costs $ 783, down from $ 979 last season. This gives you access to more than 70 ski resorts worldwide, including full access to 37 ski resorts such as Vail and Breckenridge in Colorado and Park City, Utah. For comparison, a one-day Vail lift pass currently costs $ 219.
Vail didn’t say if the price of the pass would go up. The competing Ikon Pass, available now for $ 999, gives access to 44 destinations during the 2021-2022 season and seven for the remainder of this year’s spring ski season.
What about vacation rentals?
Vacation rentals were a relatively bright spot in the travel industry during the pandemic as travelers sought the privacy and control of rental housing. According to AirDNA, which analyzes the short-term rental market, prices rose in early 2021, especially in rural areas and vacation spots. The average daily rates increased by more than nine percent in February 2021 compared to the same period of the previous year.
Sitewide sales on rental platforms are rare, but AvantStay, which has 400+ properties in the US and Mexico, is offering $ 250 off bookings with booking code SUMMER250 from June 20 through September 22.
