The tests will be available from November 30th to December 11th
The University of Glasgow has published guidelines for accessing the free test, which is available to all University of Glasgow and Glasgow School of Art students who have no symptoms and plan to travel during the holiday season.
The exam is voluntary but it is recommended by the Scottish Government that one should be taken before returning home if isolation is required.
The tests will be available from November 30th to December 11th in the Hunter Halls and Kelvin Gallery. You can book a test through the University of Glasgow website.
The student can book a test if they plan to return home for the holidays, have not tested positive in the past 90 days, are not currently experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, and have not been found in close contact with someone who has tested positive .
Depending on availability, the students are given a location and can choose between different times. Initially, the tests are only open for three days in the first half of the test week. More slots will be available soon.
Students are asked to take two tests three days apart. If both tests are negative, you are allowed to travel. However, if either test is positive, students must begin isolation and book a PCR test at an NHS walk-in center.
All students received emails with further information.
